Paraffin Emulsions

Silsan® paraffin emulsions, developed by Graf Chemie, are solvent-free, water-based emulsions formulated with high-quality waxes and paraffins. Thanks to their strong water-repellent effect, they provide fundamental protection against moisture while maintaining the natural appearance of building surfaces. The emulsions dry with low gloss, resist UV radiation and weathering, and do not yellow, even under intense sunlight.

These versatile products are used as additives in aqueous coating systems, as exsiccation barriers on highly absorbent substrates, and as active protection in façade treatments. A key application is the hydrophobization of paste plasters, where they offer a cost-effective and durable solution. In addition, Silsan® paraffin emulsions can be employed in anti-graffiti coatings, facilitating the easy removal of sprayed paints and lacquers. Dilutable with tap water before application, they combine technical efficiency with ease of use, delivering long-term façade protection at an excellent cost/performance ratio.
