AGITAN® Defoamers – Effective Foam Control for Coatings, Inks & Construction Systems

The AGITAN® range from Münzing offers high-performance silicone and non-silicone defoamers formulated to suppress and eliminate foam formation across aqueous and emulsion-based systems. By leveraging dispersed silica particles and specialty siloxanes, AGITAN® products quickly migrate to the air–water interface within foam lamellae and break them, ensuring stable processing and enhanced coating quality.

Designed for use in architectural coatings, wood coatings, printing inks, adhesives, industrial fluids, and construction formulations, AGITAN® defoamers deliver excellent stability, persistence, and compatibility with binders and additives. The defoamer emulsions are miscible with water in all ratios, making them easy to integrate. Some grades (e.g. AGITAN® 150, 155) are specifically engineered to withstand alkaline environments (pH 6–11), making them suitable for construction systems and cementitious formulations.
